Testimonial from Tim McDevitt, Breitenbush Hot Springs Owner
“I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Charles Ramsay for four years in the mid-nineties at Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat and Conference Center. Although Charles was primarily the General Manager, he never hesitated to do any job that needed doing, regardless of how difficult or dirty it might be, and he always did it cheerfully. As administrator, his outstanding performance included procuring a six-figure emergency grant after the 1996 floods, and as a key player in the acquisition of the adjacent northern half of the original Breitenbush homestead, which involved complex legal and governmental procedures, and united the homestead for the first time in twenty-five years.
Together, Charles and I created the Breitenbush Emergency Medical Team. We completed the arduous ten day, 120 hour Wilderness First Responder intensive at the American Alpine Institute where Charles graduated at the top of the class. A fine networker and liason, he established positive professional relationships with the local EMS agencies, including Lifeflight, and worked with me on numerous medical emergencies in wretched wilderness conditions where he consistently exhibited sound judgment, impeccable competence and exceptional grace under pressure.
Until I met Charles, I never realized how rare it is to actually have someone’s undivided attention. To this gentleman of the old school, honor and integrity are not abstractions, but permeate every aspect of his life. For him success is merely a side effect of providing extraordinary service to others. There are many benefits to being an associate or client of Charles’ that continue long after business has been concluded. In my experience, he is an extremely rare human being.”
Sincerely,
Tim McDevitt
